Abstract
The effects of the adjustment policies implemented in Argentina since December 2023 on certain health and nutrition issues in the served population are analyzed, taking into account the perspective of health professionals. Two quantitative-qualitative surveys (2024 and 2025) were conducted through online questionnaires. The results show an increase in demand in the public subsector, mainly in mental health, medications, and food, along with deficiencies in human resources and supplies. A worsening of food insecurity was noted in children under two years old and pregnant women, as well as the saturation of care facilities. It is concluded that the adjustment measures weaken the public system’s response capacity, deepen inequalities, and precarize the working conditions of the personnel.
