Abstract
This paper analyzes the impact of the policies implemented during the first year of Javier Milei's government on the scientific and university systems, highlighting the ways in which the presidential discourse places them in a strategic position and central target of his most important projects. In this sense, we analyze four axes of Milei's discourse that have a direct impact on both fields: budget cuts, the identification of the caste, the denunciation of cultural Marxism and the rise of anti-scientific positions.
